Foundation honors Bulkley Richardson and Gelinas attorney, Scott Foster, with 2009 President’s Award
Springfield, MA -- Springfield attorney, Scott Foster, will be honored for his commitment to increasing access to justice for the poor through his work with the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. Mr. Foster, a partner at Bulkley, Richardson and Gelinas, will receive the award at the Foundation’s grantee reception which will be held in Springfield on October 1st.
The MBF President’s Award is given to individuals who have demonstrated exemplary service to the Massachusetts legal community through volunteerism, leadership and commitment to increasing the availability of legal services for low-income citizens of the state.
Mr. Foster is an active volunteer in the Foundation’s IOLTA Grants Program. In doing so, he has donated countless hours to benefit the citizens of the Commonwealth, by ensuring the judicious distribution of IOLTA funds to legal aid organizations across the state. He also served as a member of the MBF Fellowship Committee, which oversaw the re-structuring of the Foundation’s giving programs.
“The Foundation is so very fortunate to have the support of attorney Foster,” remarked MBF President Laurence M. Johnson. “He represents a new generation of rising attorneys who are truly committed to giving back to their profession and their communities.”
