Bulkley Richardson Launches Cybersecurity Series

Bulkley Richardson is pleased to announce the launch of CyberSafe, a series of cybersecurity events and written alerts to provide critical information to businesses and organizations on topics of cybersecurity.  The CyberSafe series will cover preparation, assessment, implementation and response to ensure that you are aware of your legal obligations, safeguards to stay protected – and what to do if there is a breach.

For the first event, Jim Duda and Lauren Ostberg, attorneys in Bulkley Richardson’s cybersecurity practice, will team up with Chris Wisneski, IT Security and Assurance Services Manager at Whittlesey, to discuss your obligations under Massachusetts and Connecticut law, safeguards to put in place to minimize damage caused by a data breach, and emerging trends in data collection and privacy rights.  They will also cover how the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) may affect your business and how the soon-to-be implemented California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) will impact businesses in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

We invite businesses and organizations to join us for the first event on Monday, July 15th from 4 to 5:30pm at Bulkley Richardson’s office in Springfield.  Following the program, there will be a networking reception.  Registration is required.
