WBA President, Julie Dick Palmer to Host Gala Event
As President of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts (“WBA”), Julie Dick Palmer, Counsel at Bulkley Richardson, welcomes members and supporters of the WBA to attend their annual gala celebration on October 22 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place. This event is the WBA’s major fundraiser and support helps to serve members, the legal profession and the underserved members of local communities.
Palmer will speak at the event, kicking off the celebratory evening of women in law. “We have the power to influence change through our votes, our voices and our work. This is a critical time for women to advocate for policies and laws that advance the full and equal participation of women in the legal profession and in a just society,” said Palmer.
The WBA of Massachusetts has identified the following priorities: Legal Protections and the Rule of Law, supporting due process afforded to each and every individual who appears before our courts and administrative bodies; Access to Health Care, including the ability to access safe and legal abortion services and other reproductive health care; Economic Justice, access to comprehensive reproductive health care allows women to make decisions about their futures, impacting their economic stability and opportunities for advancement; and Privacy andAutonomy, the right to make personal decisions about one’s body without government interference.
