Legal Assistant

Bulkley Richardson is seeking an experienced legal assistant to support the firm’s growing practice in their Springfield, MA location.

The ideal candidate will possess technical and administrative skills, assume responsibility with minimal supervision, exercise initiative and judgment to make decisions within the scope of the assigned authority, work individually and as part of a team, and practice collaboration with firm employees across the offices.

Candidates receiving the highest consideration will be detail-oriented, have good judgment and problem-solving skills, and be able to manage multiple priorities within time constraints. They will also be proactive self-starters with demonstrated experience maintaining high-quality work product in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary to be successful in this position.  A willingness to show flexibility in offering support across all practice areas is extremely important.

Required Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel, is required.
  • Technological aptitude and ability and willingness to learn new programs and procedures is necessary.
  • Previous experience working in a law firm or large office environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of professional office practices and etiquette strongly desired.
