Ronald P. Weiss

It is with profound sadness that Bulkley Richardson announces the passing of our friend and colleague, Ronald P. Weiss.

As a senior partner, Ron has been an integral part of the firm for decades, earning him the reputation as one of western Massachusetts’ most respected and esteemed lawyers. Internally, he was a fierce mentor, laying the groundwork for a legacy of skilled lawyers to follow in his path. An advocate of organizational growth and sustainability, Ron was committed to many leadership roles throughout his career and volunteered his time generously to community organizations. Of note, Ron was involved in establishing the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts and devoted to the preservation of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. A recipient of the prestigious Pynchon Award, his nomination noted Ron’s “remarkable ability to understand and solve complex problems” and his “long-term dedication and commitment to the success of the organizations he serves and to the region in which he and his family live.”

Ron’s friendship, wit and brilliant mind will be greatly missed.
