Bio
Andrea Nuciforo represents health care, commercial real estate, corporate and small business clients on matters critical to their businesses. In health care, he has advised physicians, physician groups and institutional providers on contract, licensing, financing and related matters. For small businesses, he has advised on asset purchase and sale, license transfer, financing, real estate acquisition, employment and related matters.
Andrea has extensive public sector experience. From 1997 until 2007, he served in the Massachusetts State Senate, representing 48 cities and towns in Berkshire, Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin counties. Over the course of that 10-year period, he served as Chair of the Committee on Financial Services and the Committee on Banks and Banking. He also served as a member of the budget-writing Senate Ways and Means Committee. While Chair of Financial Services, Andrea developed a working knowledge of some of Massachusetts’ most heavily regulated industries, including mortgage lending, health care, state-chartered banks and auto insurance. Andrea was also elected to serve as Register of Deeds for the Berkshire region (2007 to 2013), and gained a comprehensive understanding of real estate finance, conveyance and recording.
