Introduction to the GDPR (April 10, 2019)

The European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) became effective May 25, 2018. The GDPR provides for new and strong personal data protections for EU data subjects, while establishing significant financial consequences for non-compliance. The GDPR applies to many organizations outside of the EU that handle personal data of individuals in the European Union.

This program will discuss:

  • The GDPR and its new requirements
  • How the GDPR affects organizations in the United States
  • Steps that should be considered for compliance with this new law
